Before deciding on which television to buy, I did my own research and sifted through the choices until I ended up with two great televisions, particularly a unit this year and last year’s LN40A550, which surely gave me a hard time to choose.

I consistently compared the two in all aspects; however, their features are considerably identical which even gave me a harder time to decide. After shopping around and finding out that the difference between the prices of the two was only $50, I definitely settled on the newer unit due to its contemporary appearance and lighter mass.

In the reviews I came across, one of the main complaints for last year’s unit was the sound quality. I found it difficult to equate and compare this year’s unit to last year’s but I discovered that this year’s LN40B550 has an impressive sound quality, better than most TV speakers.

Other features such as the picture quality, menu, and set up are remarkable as seen in all Samsung HDTVs.

However, one drawback is Wiselink not being capable of recognizing my old USB flash drive. I quickly reformatted the drive thinking that it was the one malfunctioning since my TV was new. Sadly, Wiselink can’t still recognize my flash drive.

It’s likely that the old drive has a configuration that wasn’t compatible to the new programming.

Other than that, my new TV has never disappointed me. I’m waiting for new flash drives to arrive so that I can try hooking it into my TV again. I will update this post as soon as I test the flash drives.

On the whole, this TV is a magnificent one. Try purchasing and you’ll surely get your money’s worth.
